Topic: Children who grow up in the family short of money are better prepared to deal with problems when they become adults than children who are brought up by wealthy parent.
In today’s world, while children education has been a growing concern, family background is one among elements that has certain impact on kids. Many people claim that children brought up in poor family are better in tackling problems in their later adulthood in comparison with children in wealthy families. In my own perspective, I completely agree with this statement.
To begin with, children born in family short of money concretely have more financial issues to overcome than other children. This happens because most unfortunate families are unable to afford to daily expenses as well as education fees for their kids. As a result, those children have to begin working at a young age with the aim of helping their parents. Such early access to the society does equip those children with social skills and experiences, and eventually they become more mature and better at dealing with unexpected problems.
Moreover, to many children, being brought up in a poor family is considered one of the biggest motivations to them. Unlike many children in wealthy families who are born with a silver spoon in their mouth, those children have to settle their lives themselves, take care of themselves in such a harsh condition. Having to cope with financial burden earlier than other kids in many cases has led the children to the determination of being successful in their adulthood. Mr. Vuong Nhat Pham – the President of Vingroup can be seen as an illustration. Mr. Vuong’s childhood was covered with poverty as he used to work a lot to make his living at an early age, including selling breads at the train station. The foundation of Vingroup – the most powerful corporation is the vivid evident of his spirit and willingness of making ways out of poverty.
Undeniably, rich children can experience things that unfortunate children cannot. For example, they are sent to the best schools and receive better education there, which equips them better experiences in solving problems. But it is obvious that what they are taught is just academic knowledge without real lessons.
To sum up, the more a person experiences in life, the more they can use these experiences to be flexible, adaptable and to solve problems they encounter. Parents besides should help their children to be independent so that they will be ready for every obstacles that they will meet later in their adulthood.
